For as long as I can remember I have turned to the arts for a form of therapy. When life becomes overwhelming, I turn to music or poetry. At a young age, I began writing poetry to work through what was happening in my life or mind. I started holding onto my poetry as of 2010, in hopes that someday I would have the courage to share it with the world. The poetry I have shared within this book are all within the last ten years, however, I stopped writing for five years before 2019. I have strategically placed my poetry at random throughout this book because I wanted to portray real life, my real life. I suffer from anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Some days I am elated, others my depression makes it hard to get out of bed. Life does not give people warning; they must ride the waves. I am sharing these raw parts of myself in hopes that I can help someone out there to realize that they are not alone, and we can overcome them. Writing this book has been a huge part of my healing process and I am so proud to share that rawness with the world. Not many people know the side of me portrayed in my work, so this book may come as a surprise. But I know that this book is something that needs to be shared, it is bigger than me. Now without further a due, please enjoy "Walk With Me," and thank you for reading
