Wakin' Up Waggin': The Tale Behind the Tail

A young boy named Timmy wakes up grumpy more often than not. Conversely, his dog Max consistently wakes up full of energy, wagging his tail, and ready to play. Timmy asks Max what makes him so happy in the morning, and Max offers a list of things in his life that warrant celebration.

Time passes, and Timmy and Max grow up together. Timmy notices Max has slowed down tremendously, and he points out that all the reasons Max wagged when he was younger have changed or deteriorated. He asks him why he still wags his tail, and Max offers an updated list that shows it is simply his way of viewing the world that keeps him so happy.

This inspires a change in Timmy and he vows to live life like Max and look on the bright side whenever he can. From that point, Timmy begins Wakin' Up Waggin' just like Max.
