This collection of Haikus attempts to combine the earliest Haiku style of Matsuo Basho that draws on the seasonal elements of nature and the Beat Generation style of Kerouac that intermixes the abstractions of people, places, and time. Each Haiku set outlines a month of time that sequentially fits within the four seasons: winter, spring, summer, and autumn. Yet, at times, the Haiku sets include references to emotions and internal feelings that are reflective of living in a modern and sophisticated world.
