One of those for the home library

This book is fantastic! At first I was disappointed by the simple rough drawings but they were just fine for my 2 year old. And the storyline? Well, you don't get better than this! It was good from start to finish. You'll want to buy it in hardcover.

What crocodile?

Wait! I Want to Tell you a Story by Tom Williams is my kind of book. Maybe it's the little green frog sitting on the shark's nose on the end pages when I first opened the cover? Maybe it's the muskrat sitting quietly in a tree in the closing end pages of the book? The food chain is humorously illustrated in the events of the book. The spider ate the fly, the lizard ate the spider, the snake ate the lizard, the frog ate the snake, and the shark ate the frog. But what happened to the tiger, the crocodile, and the muskrat? What crocodile, you ask? I can see you haven't read Wait! I Want to Tell you a Story, but you will have to buy the book and find out what happens at the end for yourself! RELATED ACTIVITIES Write another adventure for the clever muskrat! Who will he outwit next? Draw a picture of your favorite animal in the book. Make some playdough and create the animals in the book. Then, replay the action in the book with your playdough characters. Read the story to someone you love!

On the edge of your seat waiting

I had already read this book in the store so when my husband read it to my child I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see both their reactions to the ending, especially since both of them being of the male species, thought they knew everything. This little mouse quickly tells the lion a story to keep him from nibbling on him, and sorry can't type any more. You'll just have to purchase it, and no going to the book store to peek at the ending.
