Excellent--Enjoyed reading of contemporay woman..

I love reading all types of books. This book was of a contemporary woman in Cuba & of changing events of her life. Book was enjoyable & easily readable & dealing with realistic events. Dealing with events of Cuba & decisions of a modern woman with grown children & changing events in Cuba. Heard Ms. Lynch was working on a new book & looking forward to reading that too.

An easy flowing story of realistic adventure.

A picked up the book "Wait for the Wave" in Detroit, Michigan before I moved to Montana. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and loved the characters. When I got to the end I was rather sad that it over. I found I was emotionally related to the characters and am interested to know if the story continues. I shared the book with one of my friends and she also loved it. It was nice to read a book that told a realistic story involving "real" people. So much of what I've read before seemed to miss this important point. (At least it's important to me.)I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading it again. Anyone who is sensitive and wants some entertaining, light, and realistic reading would enjoy this book. It would not be enjoyed by anyone who is of limited mind and prefers bias, slanted writing where the author successfully strokes the readers ego rather just telling a pleasant story.

An adventure into a new Cuba as a good American partner.

This story presents a fascinating look into a much forgotten Cuba. It allows the reader to experience a Cuba, not just as a cummunist revolutionary dictatorship, but as a real country with real everyday people living their lives as best they can. One can see the possiblity of improved relations with this nearby neighbor. Upon reading the story, one can sense a bit of what Cuba has been, while also gaining some optimism of what it may yet become; an island nation friendly to America where reciprocal trade provides mutual benefit to the citizens of both countries. The main female character is well-developed and demonstrates the creativity and adventurous spirit indicative of the American entrepreneur. The story is a fairly quick read and carries itself nicely. It maintains a good pace of activity and effortlessly guides the reader to the last word. I found the book enjoyable and look forward to a sequel. I have shared my book with others and they also enjoyed the story. I highly recommend this book for someone looking for interesting, pleasant reading on a subject that is close to home but kept all too much a mystery.
