Imagine the commotion on the storied Grounds of the University of Virginia, also known as Wah-Hoo-Wah, when its founder, Thomas Jefferson, pays an extended visit. This iconic phantom moves back and forth between Monticello and the Grounds, as he sets out to improve the state of affairs of his original Academic Village, gone amuck in his opinion. Appointing himself Headmaster, he imparts comments and advice to wayward students in mysterious ways. In his directives to address issues that upset him most, he selects a deputy. However, the latter is reluctant to serve, which complicates matters enormously for the Sage of Monticello. A cast of colorful Wahoos rounds out the hilarity, romance and escapades. One such, a malcontent called Spacey Al, bears a striking resemblance to Alfred E. Newman of Mad Magazine fame. Another is a gritty cowboy from Oklahoma, the Headmaster's favorite place, because it was part of the Louisiana Purchase and undoubtedly where the Great Wooly Mammoth hung out. In addition, an outrageous jalopy - appropriately called the Warthog - creates havoc for its riders and those in its way, on and off the Grounds.
