The Appalachian Trail is a continuous path in a canopy. But a continuous trail from Key West, Florida, to the Gasp Peninsula, Quebec, would diversify the experience of long-distance hiking. Crucial to that experience is the completion of a missing link in the south between the Florida Trail and the start of the Appalachian Trail in Georgia, and another one in the north between Mount Katahdin, Maine, and the Canadian border.
