Though it is a misconception that vultures are patient birds, the general belief is that a vulture would patiently wait until its prey is dead to feast on the carcass. But men have no such patience. They kill, abandon or cast away their parents to feast on the life savings of their poor parents. This novel is about cast away people, driven away by their children and those who came of their own free will to the Aged Care Homes, because their children have no time or desire to look after them. But one person amongst them in the Aged Care Home decides to change the depressive psychosis of these unfortunate souls and transform them into prime members of society instead of unwanted people languishing in old age homes. How he achieves it is the theme of this novel.
