The complication of modern life, the high technological development, the multiplication of information and the speed with which people must respond to environmental and social demands are sources of stress and causes of psychopathological disturbances. For this reason, a theory of neurotic functioning disorders is offered, the second dimension of which deals with seven diagnostic patterns that characterise this type of disorder from a psychological point of view. The analysis that is carried out is the presence of the neurotic functioning level disorder in our days is very frequent therefore, the vulnerability to suffer them involves a wide group of people spread in all sectors, classes, groups and social strata, it should be very useful for the professionals of psychology since it constitutes an attempt to eradicate the existing contradictions between the passivity and the quality of the graduate. By identifying the main risk factors, it will be possible to devise strategies aimed at students to reduce the incidence of these typical characteristics of the neurotic level of functioning.
