VR technology and Hazardous chemical safety: Construction of an immersive exercise system

In chemical production, operations in eight major categories are accident-prone due to complex processes and numerous equipment, exacerbated by insufficient safety awareness. To improve safety, enterprises focus on training, but traditional methods lack realism and immersion, reducing efficiency. This project developed a VR-based immersive hazardous chemical safety training system to address these issues. It involved researching 28 standards (including GB 30871-2022), creating 14 training scripts for operations like hot work, modeling 97 plant and equipment models, designing a VR UI interface, and implementing logic for 12 training scenes. The resulting system offers an immersive training environment, enhancing practicality and efficiency, and boosting enterprise safety production levels.
