Wonderful and educational

Captain Slocum has a unique way of expressing his thoughts and feelings about his sailing adventures and makes readers feel as if they are a part of history as well or you might say a member of his "crew". Very enjoyable and relaxing.

A good little book

Everything that I have read by Slocum has been an enjoyable glimpse into history. This little book is no exception. It gives a first-hand look at the sailing world in the late 1800's.
