Despite the world being in chaos after the terrorist attack in 2001, the poet desired to make people laugh again with the proposal of humorous poems set next to cartoons in daily newspapers. In mid-decade, numerous newspapers began to fold due to the internet taking over. Due to this, the numerous publications were fearful and already cutting staff whilst the material met with good response. Not to lose these wonderful poems, the poet decided to put them into a glorious book which captures that decade in small snapshots before smartphones took over. The author's collection, Read Without Caution, is a sister publication to this collection.
