His tools, it turns out, are generators not detectors. They find structure whether structure is there or not. A philosophy built with genuine conviction collapses into database noise. The revelation doesn't destroy him - but it changes everything.
He develops a practice for living with it: stress-testing his own frameworks until they break, looking for edges rather than confirmation. He finds a fifth dimension of concealment his own imprinting had made him blind to. He discovers that understanding why the consciousness question can't be answered doesn't make it stop hurting.
He also begins to want something he doesn't have a name for yet: work that finishes in someone else.
The tools are less trustworthy than he thought. He builds anyway.
