Chicago is full of ghosts, mysterious deaths, murders, and tragic events. Visit over eighty macabre Chicagoland locations you'd never want to visit after dark. The most famous Chicago ghost stories, including ""Resurrection Mary"" and ""Bachelor's Grove,"" are featured along with some lesser-known tales such as ""The Sunnybrook Asylum"" and ""The Gate.
I picked up a copy of this book recently and loved it. There are a few dominant authors who have written about true ghost stories in Chicago and Illinois. Scott Markus and this book were both new to me and I'm glad I stumbled across this one. In addition to covering stories of well-known haunted placed, Markus also interjects his own personal experiences at those locations which makes for a much more interesting read. He may tell a ghost story you've heard before, but he always adds something new. The book is jam packed with tons of good stories and many first hand accounts of hauntings. I'd recommend grabbing a copy. From some of the titles in the Table of Contents it isn't always clear what story it is, but a quick check of the index and you can find just about every major ghost story & haunting in the greater Chicago area.
