A World of Words

I teach a multi level English as a Second Language class to adults from around the world at a comunity college. I have found this series of books, levels A-H, to be one of the best for second language adults. Students have the opportunity to learn a large variety of common words. Because Vocabulary Connections is a multi leveled series, the students work independently or in small groups at their own level and move from one level to another with ease. The books contain topics that are interesting, timely and geared for an adult audience. Each lesson is contains several exercises, a writing lesson, and a passage where the vocabulary words are presented. Another added bonus is the software that can be purchased with the books and used along side. Vocabulary Connections is both teacher and student friendly.
