Good for brush up before vcp exam.

I'm getting ready to take the vcp exam and am finding this book beneficial as a brush up.

I recommend this book, but you will need more to pass the exam

I encourage you to get this book if you are preparing for the VCP exam. It will cover about 80% of the topics, but it is not all inclusive, be clear on that. I suggest you print out the exam blueprint (http://mylearn.vmware.com/lcms/mL_faq/1714/VCP3.5Blueprint.PDF) and check off what this book covers, and the seek out material on the gap. The 150 question practive exam that comes with the book is very helpful on assessing where you are.

Khnaser, begins by digging in and talking about virtualization in general, and progresses to a discussion about VMware Infrastructure 3 specifically. Then, the author looks at the prerequisites and different methodologies of installing an ESX Server. The author also covers VMware Infrastructure 3 (VI3) licensing, including ESX Server and VirtualCenter licensing, how the license key functions, and the license server. He continues by discussing all of the components that make up virtual networking and how it facilitates communications for virtual machines.
