Vive Deo ut Vivas: A History and Genealogy of the James Craig (1717-1793) Family in America

The second edition of this book traces the ancestry of James Craig (1717-1793), a Scottish merchant who settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania prior to 1750. The book's first section includes biographies of the Craig descendants who made Philadelphia their home until 1872 at which time the sole remaining Craig descendant, John Charles Craig, Jr., and his family re-settled in Mississippi City, Mississippi. John had five children and the second portion of this book traces the ancestry of John's second son, Charles Hopkinson Craig. Included in this edition are hours of new research included in each expanded biography, extensive bibliographies of works mentioning the James Craig family, up-to-date descendant lists tracing all branches of the Craig family, a section for recording additional information on personal ancestors, and a genealogy reference guide for help in researching personal genealogy.
