Great Intro to Object Oriented Programming using VB 5
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 27 years ago
I liked this book very much. It's a great detailed introduction to object oriented techniques using VB5. It's not a beginners book, you need to know VB to read it. I have heavily underlined every page and also written many of the terms I've come to learn on the sides of the pages. The best parts of the book are the concepts shown via code examples. Fortunately, the book is not one large O-O project... which I've seen in other books. And, it's not a bunch of O-O concept diagrams... as I've seen in others. It's a pleasant mix of practical code, concepts, terminology, and screen shots. The author gives lots of helpful suggestions along the way. Overall I recommend this book highly. If you know VB then this would be a great book on O-O for VB5. He does describe some of the differences between VB4 and VB5. It is very important to learn the new O-O approach using VB. Particularly the use of Active X DLL's. This is the appropriate book to use.
