Visual Basic 4 in 12 Easy Lessons

Although outdated, Visual Basic 4 (included on the CD with the book) provides an ideal introduction to Visual Basic and modern windows programming (not just Microsoft). Written by an outstanding author and teacher, it gives good fundamental lessons in programming. I would also recommend it for teaching young children how to program in windows. It is well worth getting by any beginner programmer, or by curious programmers versed in other programming languages only. Just a pity about the price for new books. Well worth getting 2nd-hand if one can get one with a CD in good condition. It does not deserve the low ratings given by the other reviewers.

A VERY GOOD Visual Basic 4.0 Book

As the novice programmer to VB or any other langueges, I found this book to bring me up and running in programming in no time. It introduced me to a lot of "easy" concepts of programming with clear and through explanations and examples. I don't remember of having any trouble with the source code andsmall examples, so SHAME ON YOU, who told that there were alot of mistakes.I recomend this book as the beggining to VB, now for expertese.
