A ministry initiative within a local church requires a series of transformations and a commitment on the part of the professionals who undertake it; Based on our experience conducting a Situational Assessment-which necessarily involved observation and interviews-we realized that reality surpasses preparation. We therefore agreed to delve deeper through literary essays grounded in biblical passages to reflect on what the essential needs of vulnerable people should entail without compromising our identity. Thus, we maintained an ecumenical approach in carrying out our work. To date, this is one of three proposed lines of research: human dignity, the life and psychology of Jesus; today summarized as vision, mission, and integral values.
