My mother was a piece of Art

Glorious in all her splendor

She sparkled in the light

Yet the dark consumed her

She was not for the world

In duration

But impact

Her passionate energy blazing

She passed it to me

As she passed me to my

Angelic protector.

In her beauty there was mystery

The unspoken and hidden

The pain made apparent in a

Tableaux of despair

So much beauty in her creative display

My mother became a living picture

A face I couldn't touch yet only admire from a distance

Like the ocean

Or the moon

If you got too close

It may consume you too

So we all stood back

In wonder

And admired what we could not touch

Like a priceless museum exhibit

My mother was a tragic masterpiece.
