It has been six months the since the Carstairs family came to the community in North Georgia. What they find is there are some good people but there is no shortage of bad people. At the same time, a six people crew head South in search of a better place to farm. They also find a mix of good and bad folks. One major surprise is the widowed wife of the man who killed all of people living in the subdivision John and his family lived in shows up in the town with a new boyfriend. She claims she did not know her husband was dead or what he did.
