World war ll fictional/ historical in Paris

I have to say, I had never heard or read anything by this author. In all honesty what led me to purchase this book was the story line on the back cover. I'm so GLAD I did !!! It was a captivating story from the very first page!! It's an emotional, and exciting story. With a touch of keeping you on the edge of your seat in anticipation of what was going to happen next. It's a story of friendship, responsibility, loss and hope. From start to finish it is a great story line, with wonderful details, and descriptions of characters, places and different situations. It is about a young 17 yr old girl ( Betty) who fools everyone, into believing she's older than her 17 yrs, and joins and trains in the Special Operations top secret Government agency that sends spies behind enemy lines. Her secret agent name is Adele, and her and 3 other agents are parachuting over German occupied France Nazi territory under the cover of darkness in the middle of the night. From the very beginning things don't go well with the drop..and your biting your nails, with what's gonna happen next, will she get caught or will she reach her resistance group safely. Joining forces with them, Adele is responsible for relaying crucial messages back to agents in London, waiting in anticipation for D-Day..the allied invasion. Adele works closely with her fellow agent Denise who also was on the jump with her. Adele is sent on many missions with the French Resistance group, and becomes very close with its leader Pierre. While on a midnight mission of blowing up an ammunitions factory, there is a shoot out with the German guards, and Pierre is killed, and Adele is taken prisoner by the Germans. It is ruthless and gut wrenching the torture she goes through. At this point I can't say more and ruin the rest of the story. It was a Excellent story, full of emotions from the different characters you meet, and how the story twists and turns , and the courage they find in such horrible situations. If you like stories of world war ll ...you will enjoy this, it has alittle bit of everything, romance, life and death situations, loss and hope. I truly enjoyed this story and how it was written. I will definitely without a doubt read anything else she may have written, Great Author, and beautifully written. I Highly, without a doubt recommend this book !!
