Vietnam's Christians: A Century of Growth in Adversity

By Reg Reimer

A Century of Growth in Adversity

Vietnam's Christians chronicles the powerful and often hidden story of the Christian church in Vietnam over the past hundred years. Reimer, a veteran missionary and advocate for religious freedom, weaves personal experience, historical insight, and eyewitness accounts into a compelling narrative of perseverance and explosive church growth under Communist rule.
The book highlights the resilience of both Catholic and Protestant communities, especially evangelical believers who faced persecution, imprisonment, and social hostility. It documents the rise of the house church movement, the impact of ethnic minority conversions, and the role of foreign missionaries before and after the Vietnam War. Reimer also explores Vietnam's complex religious landscape and the ongoing tension between faith and political ideology.
This book is both a history and a testimony, offering inspiration to global Christians and a call to support the persecuted church with prayer, partnership, and advocacy.
