Power substation
- Sub-centers are of many types and in many sizes, but all these include three things -
- (1) - Primary (33 kV incoming) side
- (2) - Secondary (11 kV out going) side
- (3) - Power Transformer
In general, the capacity of a substation depends on the capacity of its transformer. Apart from the location chosen, a sub-station is a unit that includes all three of the above and the cost of the sub-centre depends on each structure.
Expansion Arrangement - If a substation is planned to have multiple transformers, its capacity can be increased in a phased manner as and when required. Other 33 KV lines are also brought from the erstwhile 33 KV bus side so that they can be utilized properly.
