The present edition, therefore, seeks to rescue the essence that initially motivated the very fact of its appearance. In this sense, I believe that its inner desires remain relevant, even more so in the current times. Hence, I decided to revisit texts and readings that had been somewhat left in the past and bring them back into discussion. This new book also attempts to reclaim tones, ranging from the subdued voice of these years to a voice that I myself feel ignited from that time. Today's voice is more austere, more economical, and more rational; the one from before was more cheerful, suggestive, impulsive, but also more disorderly, chaotic, imprecise, and, if one wishes, less polished, more rough. All this does not shield me from the reader who may choose to discard entirely the pages that lie ahead. It only commits me to my own reading and writing, that of the past and the present, and thereby continue the process of self-critique.
