The Most Feared Prison in the Solar System.

Ephraim Simpsons has been on the run for the better part of two weeks- since his underground church had been raided. Not wanting to put his family or friends in danger, he plans to keep to the streets as he tries to make it across North America to a space port on the east coast and potentially freedom on Mars or the Asteroid Belt.

Detective Joe Lancaster has a different plan in mind: he wants to send Ephraim to the asteroid prison of Vesta, where lifespans average five months. Along with his two officers, Amy Jennigan and Cayman Morgan, he is confident he will succeed.

As Ephraim avoids Detective Lancaster and his team, he begins to feel that God has plans for him on Vesta. Ephraim is torn between following his faith and his fear of the dreaded colony. On top of that are his visions of a destroyed Earth- or rather the entire Solar System. Ephraim feels that time is short for not only him but all of humanity.
