A must read for anyone's personal reading list.

This book was full of lyrical prose . At times I felt as If I were actually reading a prayer. I completed this book with a sadness at its completion, not from a stance that I had completed it and wished for further reading but simply because there was such a transcending quality to it. It means so much to me to read translations. I noticed that on the back jacket that Myriam Antaki has also written other novels, but that this is her first to be translated into english. It is my wish that other books of hers's are also translated, as I would like to read them in addition to many other untranslated Middle Eastern Books.
