I was nineteen-years-old when the what seemed never ending impending doom of teenage years had caught up to me. By this age you either know it all or you don't. I had finished high school and no plans of continuing any further education, moved out of my parent's house, adopted a puppy and I had never been in a relationship before. It was safe to say that I hadn't figured it all out or just yet. All those emotions of worrying about the future came to a halt when I saw you sitting on the field that one summer day. Vera, Vera Moon. It was meant to happen on that day and that's when the trajectory of my life completely changed. We talked about our plans for the future even when there didn't seem a way out and we made it our reality. Van living and the cabin. Those were our plans. It reminded me that our lives will move like seasons, sometimes unpredictable or unbearable but in time the seasons will pass. And so our pain will eventually fade like memories. Vera Moon where flowers bloom.
