Another Style of Vengeance

Mark Earwood knows his turf and introduces you to the real people who live there. I have seen or met in action them myself. Mark spins his yarn in an unpolished style that is typical of his characters. He skillfully achieves realism without coarseness and vulgarity. He tackles the deepest dilemmas that have always plagued the victims of crime and misfortune in lay terms without resorting to cliches and professional jargon. Moreover, Mark arrives at satisfying answers that resolve our questions of justice and redemptions. I would not hesitate to recommend "Vengeance of the Father" to anyone caught up in the violence that besets us.

Vengeance of the Father

The author, Mark Earwood, is a "trailblazer" in writing a Christian thriller. He does a great job developing the characters and story with suspense and mystery. It is apparent the author has had a personal experience of his own faith in order to portray moral character throughout this novel.The two key Christian concepts demonstrated in this thriller are love and forgiveness. Again, the author is familiar with these concepts as these are fulfilled in relationships in this refreshing literary work. Ending was abrupt but positive in restoration of relationships, new and established.

Vengeance of the Father

This author seems to be writing about something he is familiar with and/or has done thorough research. Therefore, incidents occurring in the story appear to be true. The beginning will grab readers and pull them quickly into the story. The first 50 pages was setting up the story line and identifying the characters but when I was 1/3 of the way into the book I was drawn into the story and the action was moving quickly. Details and explanations were good but not too long or too in depth which helped set up the scenes and events making them more real. The character conversations were not forced or stilted. This is a Christian thriller and a "page turner". By page 180 I found it difficult to put it down. The book left me with questions about what happened to some of the characters. Lawyers will find his courtroom scenes true to life. It is an easy read and a good book for a plane trip or for a summer reading selection.

Mystery, romance & faith - great together

Mark Earwood does an outstanding job of providing the reader with an interesting story - full of mystery, anticipation, romance (not a typical "love" story) and a great testament of faith. Though slow to start with development of characters' relationships, you later see that it is necessary for the story line. Once the characters are developed, it becomes intriguing and you can't put it down! The strength of friendship and faith is evident throughout! It's a good read!
