Wonderful

As usual, Jude Deveraux writes a wonderful book. I like the way she covers all the family members with their own story but by reading the previous books you notice how she refers to instances in those as well.

RAINE... RAINE...RAINE...

I love this one, Alyx pretending to be a boy, with those violet eyes, and wild colored hair... Raine who would do,anything for her,who is always there for his brothers, sister and of course the sister in laws who adores him,i think Raine is the sweetest one from all four montgomery men... i read this book twice,i read this one first out of the Velvet Series so,i started to read them again but in order so,and i love it,love it,love it... I FELL IN LOVE WITH RAINE IN THIS BOOK... i hope i can meet a guy like that,as sweet as him... WHY CAN'T LOVE BE LIKE THAT,LIKE IN THE OLD DAYS?!!!

Perfect Song

Unlike some other veiwers who said they were dissapointed in the Raine character, I found him to be wonderful. I like that all four brothers were different from each other in the Velvet Series and Raine was definitly different. I appreciated the character more than the other brothers (except Miles for obvious reasons). This is definitly a good book. I read it in one evening. You must Read all four of the books to get a good appreciation. In order of what book was intended to be read first to last is 1) The Velvet Promise 2) Highland Velvet 3)Velvet Song 4)Velvet Angel. Also keep in mind that these books did have more sexual content than most of Jude Deveraux's newer books. Obviously people read romance for the dirty stuff...I found it a bit unneccisary (I spelled that wrong Im sure).

I really enjoyed this book.

I am one of those rare individuals that when I ready I can see everything in my head. I like an author that can make me laugh until my side hurts, cause me to despise a character before I get through the first chapter, and enjoy a couple discovering each other. However, what I enjoy the most in a author is when they allow their heroines to be feminine, but not weak. Just as a strong woman needs and wants a strong man. I like to believe a strong man wants and needs a strong woman. Once I figure out exactly how many books there are to this set I plan to read everyone of them. Could you please tell me the exact order the Montgomery Trilogy goes in? And most importantly In the Velet Song there was a reference made concerning the bult Alyx owned. Is this the same bult form THE BLACK LYON? And is the THE BLACK LYON the first book in the Montgomery trilogy.

A wonderful read!!

Ms. Devereaux always has me on the edge of my seat and wishing I could marry a Montgomery. Her incredible ability to intertwine history, romance, and adventure takes my breath away. I have read every single book she has written at least twice and I never seem to tire. This one is no exception. Truly a wonderful read!
