Various Synthesis Routes for Metal-Oxides Performing Water-Oxidation: Novel Approach toward Comparative Catalytic Analysis of Various Synthesis Routes for Metal-Ox Performing Water Oxidation
The present study involves comparative analysis and synthesis of electrocatalytic materials having low onset potential for H2O oxidation and good stability in given condition. The methods used for synthesis and comparison for water splitting electrocatalysis are colloidal method and spray pyrolysis having excellent results and low onset potential of 1.55 V RHE]. Aqueous solution of various metals under controlled environment are added with different buffer solution of phosphate pH=7.2, bicarbonate pH=8.3, borate pH=9.5 and carbonate pH=11.1. The colloids of metal solution are drop casted on FTO (30 μL). The CV is performed at 20mV/s to study the catalytic properties of materials having good oxidation potential and excellent onset potential at 1.55 V for Ni and Co.
