When Commander Vanilie Buck loses power to her space shuttle and has to set it down on Earth during a rescue mission to get as many humans off as possible, she encounters outlaw, Trip Srallister, on a mission to get off Earth before it explodes, and the law catches up to him.

After Trip repairs her ship, they take off and get out of the Earth's atmosphere just in the nick of time. Stunned at seeing the planet disappear in a gazillion little pieces right before her eyes, she also learns Trip killed someone when lawman and Trip's childhood friend, Jeff O'Connor, stows away onboard and reveals himself. She now must decide what she's going to do with the humans-hide one, kill the other, or take them both to the prison planet Rigel.

But not before their ship is thrown off course by a large chunk of Earth's debris when it hits her ship and propells them into another galaxy, where they meet Vanilie's distance cousin, Alura, who helps them escape from her planet after crash landing on it. Do they all get off planet Chonope safely and make it back to Milieu Solar System in the Giga Solus Galaxy with battle ships on their tale? And decisions must be made where they are going to live now that Earth no longer exists.
