Oh, where, oh, where can my baby be?

I can see my baby when I leave this world. The story takes place in a psychiatrist's office. You will recognize Dr. Glaser (Elizabeth Ashley). Put the movie on hold, as you will be too busy thinking, “Where have I seen her before?” She has only been in over 100 movies. Peter Loew (Nicolas Cage) painfully and very slowly explains his day-to-day life. Occasionally, he explains it very painfully. Keep your finger off that fast-forward button. You may kibitz if you like. Seems that Peter keeps picking on his assistant, Alva Restrepo (Maria Conchita Alonso). And as time goes on, he picks and picks and jumps and whatever as he keeps getting wilder and deranged. Seems he is in love with toothy Sharon (Jessica Lundy), who keeps sticking him for the drinks. She may not be real, but she is not an old bat. Eventually he may realize that “Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night.” He has morphed into a “you know what”. Or so it seems. He took his time getting there. So, what is the final solution? This movie moves like molasses, and that scene that you are waiting for never appears. However, you can get it back in a later movie with Nicolas Cage, “Renfield” (2023). Check out those incisors.
