Valley of Flowers

By: Collins, Chris

"Written with extraordinary delicate skill," Valley of Flowers is a profound literary novella that reimagines the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita for the modern world.

17-year-old Nicolas Kumar sets off on what seems like simple golfing trip up into the Indian Himalayas. But what begins as a sporting escape becomes a journey far beyond any fairway. His trek enters into a realm where ego must surrender and ancient wisdom blossoms.

In a hidden valley of extraordinary flowers, Nicolas makes a radical choice of stillness over action. His decision sparks an unexpected dialogue with his elder guide and trekking companion. What follows is a transformative journey through self-discovery, humility, and connection with nature.

This philosophical novella (120 pages only) is inspired by the Bhagavad Gita and Katha Upanishad, weaving Eastern spiritual teachings with contemporary Western thought. With subtle power and humorous insight, Valley of Flowers is a meditation on consciousness, courage, and choice.

"A literary achievement of quiet strength - subtle, ironic, and deeply insightful."
