We become what we think and what we think comes from words. For Christians, this means God's words, as they are recorded in Scripture, must be of primary importance to us. This document contains the Doctrinal Teaching Statement of Valley Bible Church of Hercules, California. It is a summary of the words that form the doctrines and practices that we believe are foundational in understanding God's revelation to us, the Bible, and what God expects of us. We believe that some of these doctrines or practices seem to have been ignored or discarded by some of the modern evangelical church. In turn, this results in the church being merely a crowd gathering for some kind of religious experience.The Doctrinal Teaching Statement allows us to remain fully faithful in consistently teaching the whole counsel of God as we believe it is revealed in Scripture. So it is with a love for God and His people and a commitment to eternal truth that we offer and require this Doctrinal Teaching Statement to be the standard for all adult teachers and teaching at Valley Bible Church of Hercules, California.
