Reshma's mother was taken from Kandahar by a childhood friend and sold as a brother at the age of 12. Reshma read the letters from her mother's address to grandmother during this terrible imprisonment. Shock from this causes her to lose the ability to speak by contracting PTSD - A condition of persistent mental and emotional stress resulting from injury or severe psychological trauma, usually involving sleep disturbances and persistent memory of the experience, with delayed response to others and the outside world . However, she wanted to experience herself what she went. This is her journey to freedom from PTSD and reliving her mother's life. It helps her regain a normal life by reliving her mother's life as closely as possible.
