Valhelm, The Dragon

By: Stinnet, Kerry

Valhelm, The Dragon is the 10th book in the world of Espa, an epic fantasy saga; and it serves as the first book of The Gold Saga, which picks up after the conclusion of Knight of Knights, and the 9 book Espa Chronicle series. This book unfolds alongside the events of the first book of The Freebooters.

The Libertan War has ended, leaving the empire fractured, its people tired of war. As the elves retreat, Libertan, the Iron City beckons Dragus back to reconnect with Matriarch Illyania, seeking solace after the brutal siege. Eruch Decker struggles to mend his life after a night of reckless violence. Elise Aragon, untested and uncertain, faces the daunting task of stepping into her destiny as heir to the throne. Angelica Honadel faces the leadership of her most ancient house. And in the halls of the palace, Valhelm, the Dragon Emperor, is haunted by cryptic dreams that foretell an unknown future, shifting his focus away from ruling.

But the empire's greatest peril looms on the horizon. Janus, the exiled White Prince and branded traitor, sails for Imperial City with a single goal: to seize the throne. At his side stands his cunning and ruthless sister, Cirilla, and Cyrus, the blood-soaked swordsman known as the Crimson Rose. Together, they bring chaos and conquest in their wake, threatening to ignite a civil war that could tear the empire apart.

As ambition clashes with loyalty, and the echoes of prophecy stir in the shadows, the fate of Raakonia hangs by a thread. Who will rise, who will fall, and who will shape the future of the empire?
