fantastic

surprisingly out of print. this historical novel is of a calibre rarely seen. stunningly written, intelligently plotted, grippingly told and highly readable to the end. it tells the tale of the inhabitants of the beautiful french chateau de gloriole and how it passes through various generations. a wonderful, gripping story, and one that you will probably read again and again. a pity mccaughrean doesn't delve into adult fiction more often ...
