Utopia and Realism: The narrative about Goiânia in the 1940s

This book is the result of a research with interest in identifying the existing narratives about the city of Goi nia, through literature and periodicals produced in the city in its early years. In contact with these sources, it was possible to find two important typologies of writing, one utopian and the other realistic. Narrative typologies that in turn constructed multiple images of the city. At the end, we present to the reader which unfoldings, implications and consequences these different narratives were able to produce, especially regarding the construction of a historical consciousness.
