Using the 5 Love Language with Special Needs Children

As a Special Education teacher the author used many approaches to get education of special need children across. He was a Special Education Teacher for 33 years and was awarded the Teacher of the Year by the Learning Disabilities Association in 2007 for the State of Indiana. This article explores the many ways that parents and caregivers can show love to special needs children through the five love languages, while focusing on the children's primary love language. Clear and easy examples of how to speak each love language are included, and the various benefits are discussed.
