Flotation, one of the most widely used concentration processes in the mineral industry, is based on the selective separation of constituents through the difference between the surface properties of the mineral substances contained in the ore and previously released fine and ultrafine particles. Reagents such as starch, amine and caustic soda are used. The emulsification of diesel oil plays an important role in the process.
