This is a very intriguing book. The story kept me turning pages....the incredible journey of a humble and troubled Native American in a futuristic world who finds himself in such unimaginable circumstances...For me to become involved in the story and relate to what was going on with the main character really stretched my imagination and got me thinking...this is an active read...it makes you think very deeply as you make your way through it. I equally enjoyed all the side topics that came up. I learned a lot about diverse subjects, including middle eastern cooking on one page and what propels a rocket on another....with equal detail given to topics that are not real, but are just part of the story. It was quite surprising to be reading the storyline and then suddenly you are immersed in something completely different. It was almost like finding treasures throughout the book. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to others. Happy reading.
Great Story!

This is a very compelling story, which I would love to see made into a movie. I found myself really identifying with and pulling for the protagonist, Guy Tonasket, despite the fact that he is not the kind of person I would normally identify with. The struggles he faces and the unique position he comes to find himself in indirectly address some issues which are very relevant in American society today, such as racism (Guy is a Native American) and government involvement in certain realms. This is a very memorable book which is not just standard sci-fi, but has a great story line, interesting characters, and which progressively pulls you in as you read. Definintely worth it!
