US v Ballin: How Congress is Abridging Speech Unconstitutionally

By procedure rule, all committee chairs (political power) are given to the majority party, and the chair is permitted to abridge the speech of the minority party members. That silences the speech of half the citizens from affecting the legislation. The US Supreme Court ruled that procedural rules may not violate fundamental rights.

United States v. Ballin, 144 US 1 (1892) "The Constitution empowers each house to determine its rules of proceedings. It may not by its rules ignore constitutional restraints or violate fundamental rights."

This violation is the common-sense reason why America has been in such a malaise. Making a law void of half the citizens' speech fuels the hate and fear both political parties spew onto our children every two-year election cycle. Congress needs to get on a unified direction for significant policy matters that most of us already agree on. To do that they must follow the rule of law and end their abridgement of citizen speech when legislation is drafted.

Propaganda is exposed for the lie it promulgates. The custom is that Congress will tell you to change them in the next election if you don't like it.
