Drawn from one of the richest and most critically acclaimed private collections of Latin American photography in the world (the Stanislas and Leticia Poniatowski collection), Urbes Mutantes is a visual exploration of the public spaces of various cities in Latin America. These photographs explore a universal view of many important aspects of the Latin American city, from the commonalities found in night life, popular street culture, mass movements and political demonstrations, to the distinct contrasts that arise when internationally influenced modernist buildings are set amid traditional vernacular architecture.
