The work covers the organizationof work in the City, the process of industrialization, populationgrowth, attempts at political reform and the growing Federalinvolvement in funding the cities. The dynamics of the movementfrom the farm to the city is explained together with thedemography and population implications. The work depictsa bar graph with 100T housing starts during the Great Depressionwhich grew to over 1.2MM starts by the late 1940s.This book is a goldmine for American History buffs, city planners and a host of other interested professionals .The pictures alone are well-worth the price of this book.
