Upright in a Fallen World: Live boldly and make a difference!

This book is intended for anyone and everyone. My thinking, proposals and suggestions are merely guides to relevant Scriptures which will speak to you if you have "ears to listen." Those reconciled with God may be familiar with my concepts and proposed courses of action. Hopefully, my grouping and order of those, along with relevant Scriptures, will be helpful in your spiritual growth. I earnestly hope that those not reconciled with God - lacking an intimate knowledge of, and a personal relationship with, Jesus Christ - will understand and accept who Christ is and consider taking that life-changing plunge of reconciliation with the one, true and living God of the universe. Wars and rumors of wars - middle east, Ukraine, Africa, North Korea and more. Pestilence - AIDS, Ebola, new strains of flu, and more. The plague of violence and barbarianism - Islamic terrorism, ISIS, Boko Haran, and other Muslim groups in African countries. The plague of violence in America - youth gangs, the knockout craze, unprovoked attacks, and targeting law enforcement. The disgrace and despair of family disintegration - huge increase in single-parent families, lack of fathers in the home, spousal and child abuse, convoluted and multiple "parent" combinations, and all the rest. Do we live in a fallen world? You be the judge We don't want to be a victim, yet we don't want to isolate, fully withdraw, or continually hunker down. We'd like to live freely, associate with different types of people, and maybe make a difference in this fallen world, but how? None of us has the wisdom, discipline and strength to coast through life unaffected and, at the same time, make a difference - we can't go it alone. In the first chapter, I propose seven steps that, I believe, will afford anyone the best opportunity to live boldly and make a difference in today's world. The succeeding chapters talk about how to use these steps to live in that same manner in the family, in society, with the government, in the church, in relationships, and as individuals.
