From Matt 16:13-17 this book will explore the Rock that the church was built upon to position her to accomplish her end-time purpose in the earth. From these verses we can see clearly what the rock is. #1 The Church was built upon the Revelation of Jesus Christ - Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God. #2 The Church was built for battle - the gates of hell will not prevail against it. #3 The Church was built upon Prayer, to bind the kingdom of darkness, and to release heaven on earth - and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven... whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. To accomplish her mission the church must understand the person revealed in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Only the church built upon this rock will be able to withstand the gates of Hell at the end of the age, to prepare the earth for the coming kingdom of God.
