Today, it is not easy to find what a church is, which is a local New Testament church. Almost every church does claim to be a local New Testament church of Jesus Christ. A classic example is the Roman Catholic Church, which traces its origin back to Matthew 16:18. However, this is not true. The true church which had its beginnings in Matthew 16:18 has indelible marks that are exactly opposite to the characteristics of the Roman Catholic Church or any other churches for that matter.
