This has lots of crazy events and a shocking ending. Really exciting

Carl Weber did a great job with these characters. They were dirty!! Read it while you can.

No good???????

As always Carl Weber has done it again with this real life like dram "Up To No Good". In this book he takes you back to the church where James enjoys wooing his many women. Not just any women, but his choice of married women. He goes through his share of women and don't even realize the effect it's having on his daughter Jamie and son Darnel. Weber starts you off with drama from the start right before a wedding. Then he takes to you deep into the lives of his characters and their drama. You find James falling in love...but the question is will it last? Will it fade?? He also finds himself asking that same question. While he's falling in love, his son and daughter is having their own complications with their love life. The unexpected turn will have your mouth hitting the floor in a way that only Weber can do. Great job Carl!!!

Dysfunctional is not the word

Its been a while since I read a Carl Weber's book the last being Baby Momma Drama I believe. Therefore, it was time for me to get familiar with him again and I am glad I picked this book to do with. In this, unconventional read work very well. By unconventional I mean the book is written in first person and each chapter is from the viewpoint of one of the three main characters. I love the way the story came together. There is the father James Black who doesn't believe in committing to one woman. His straight forwardness of take it or leave works so well for him he has woman whom he has been sleeping with for 30 yrs. As we all know a player must fall in love sometime or end up a very old man see which ones happen to James. Darnel Black is engage to be married and we meet him right after his bachelor party. Darnel is the total opposite of his father. He is faithful, loving, and respectful to woman. All Darnel wants is to marry his childhood sweetheart Keisha whom is his first and only love. Needless to say he is "Green". When he learns of an affair between Keisha and his best friend Omar, he becomes enraged and the drama begins. They say there is nothing worst then a woman scorned. Darnel puts any woman to shame the strange thing is he does it in the name of love. Last but not least there is Jamie Black. Jamie thinks she knows it all and must know all of everyone business, especially her father and her brother. At some points she seems more like James woman then his daughter and also an older sister to Darnel then his baby sister. See what happen when she snoops to far and learns more then she bargain for. Carl brings some twisted plots and an ending I sure didn't see coming and most definitely could understand. There is nothing like unconditional love. SiStar Tea ARC Book Club Inc. 4.5 stars

Oh, what a TANGLED web!!!!!

Up To No Good was definitely the perfect title for Carl Weber's latest release! James Black is a trustee in the church and also the biggest womanizer a woman can ever come in contact with. He has no emotions whatsoever when he comes to sleeping with women and then showing them to the door, that is until he meets a certain woman that makes him turn in his player's card. His son, Darnel is the complete opposite of his father. He's hardworking, faithful, honest and in love with Keisha. Keisha does the unthinkable right before their wedding and Darnel snaps! He turns into a completely different man right before everyone's eyes. There's no limit to what he'll do to win Keisha back and make her suffer for her mistake. He has a love hate relationship with her and things get completely out of control when the tables are turned by Keisha herself and her new man! Jaime is very overprotective of her father and very insecure when it comes to her two year relationship with Louis. Louis actions and disappearing acts lead her to believe he has another woman, but does he or is Jaime mind playing tricks on her? Waste no time and pick up Carl Weber's new book, Up To No Good and enjoy a scandalous, drama filled and suspense story all wrapped in one! I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to get to the end! Carl Weber out did himself with this one! HIGHLY recommended!

EXCELLENT!

This book grabbed my attention from the first page and held onto it until the last. I did not want the book to end! What a great storyteller! If you are looking for a good book, I suggest you purchase this one. If there was a way for me to give you your money back if you purchased this book and didn't like, I would. That's how sure I am that you will love this book. If I'm wrong, let me know in your review after you have read the book. I challenge any reader to say this is not a good book. I'm hoping Mr. Weber will come out with part two. Absolutely engaging! Great job Mr. Weber. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. And, I must thank you for providing a Kindle edition of this book. Kudos!

The pain... the drama... the sex... the crazy...

Before you start reading this book, get your Dramamine, Scopolamine, Promethazine, Cyclizine, and Dimenhydrinate. In case you're wondering...those are medications for motion sickness! Carl Weber weaves together a story with more twists and turns than the Spaghetti Junction in Atlanta, GA. James Black is.... a mess! This guy has more women than an all girl Catholic school shower! I love his no nonsense approach to his women... **you're here for one reason and one reason only, to please me**. If you choose to be with him after that... well... don't come crying to daddy. His son, Darnel, was trying to be a good boy and be faithful to one woman and he was. However, was the one woman faithful to him? How far would you go if someone betrayed you? What would you do to get back at them? Well... our boy Darnel takes his heartbreak HARD and you won't believe WHERE he takes it. Darnel's sister, Jamie, has a life but still finds time to meddle in her dad's, her brother's, and eventually her man's. This sister becomes so paranoid you'll swear you'll hear 'The Twilight Zone' music playing when you read the chapters dedicated to her. Mr. Weber takes the strengths and weaknesses of these characters and intertwines them in one heck of a good story! There is so much drama and goings on here that any of the main three characters could have a story themselves. One minute you're a fly on the wall in the bedroom of James Black watching him put the moves on one of his thousand women, and the next you're wondering if Darnel needs a special white jacket. One minute you're spinning around inside Jamie's head wondering about her man, and the next you're wondering how many demons Keisha really does have. And this is just the tip of all the crazy turns you'll take in this book. This book also makes you wonder how far you would go to help out blood. The ending will have you shaking your head like, "what. in. the. world."? I like that Mr. Weber put some questions for discussions at the end; however this book is so good you won't need them. This is a no-brainer for book clubs and a (pardon the cliché) a must read for fans new and old.
